The Framework Agreement for the Spirits, Core Wine, Beer, Cider & PPS and ancillary products (minerals) has been awarded to 8 suppliers:

The 3 advertised Lots were:
Lot 1  Beer, Cider & PPS
Lot 2  Spirits & Fortified Wines
Lot 3 Core Wines & All Wines

The new framework starts on 1st August 2011 and replaces the Spirits & Core Wines and Beer, Cider & PPS frameworks.

The supplier price lists will be subject to any Government intervention such as changes in Duty, VAT etc,

EXCISE DUTY CHANGES EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1st 2011

Excise Duty Changes On Trade
As announced by the Chancellor in his Budget of earlier this year there are two new duty changes on Beer effective from October 1st this year.

• A new additional duty of 25% of general beer duty on beers over 7.5% abv in strength
• A reduced rate of 50% of general duty on beers at a strength of below 2.9% abv and above 1.2%
