In February 2010, Autobar which is Europe’s leading vending operator, acquired Out of the Box the UK’s leading education vending firm. Together these firms provide a tailored Education solution, with national scale and support. Our priority is to understand students and staff at the each Education site we work with and then to use this to deliver a comprehensive vending solution.

Autobar now provides vending services to over 40 Universities in the UK, a large number of them TUCO members. We have built strong University partnerships because of tailored solutions and excellent service delivery. Out of the Box remains the ‘brand’ used by Autobar in Education, and through this brand we are constantly updating products, machines and equipment branding in order to ensure our vending package contains the best selling products, fresh and healthy items are available and that vending makes a positive commercial contribution for both partners. Our vending machines are managed individually using a ‘real time’ IT system that allows instant reporting, complete product and sales transparency and total control over fill-schedules and cash collected.
In addition to efficient operations, Out of the Box is committed to value added activities that will promote vending locations, promote the products in vending, and increase the trial of vended products by students and staff.
Partnering with Out of the Box is not simply about collecting a commission cheque each month; every client that signs up with Out of the Box has a dedicated Account Manager who works with the client on pricing, machine/product changes, new locations and any changes requested to the service or reporting. All activities and decisions will be done collaboratively and with the best interest of both parties as the key focus.
