MJ Baker Foodservice Ltd is a privately owned company, established in 1999, and which has grown steadily to become the largest independent foodservice wholesaler in the Southwest of England. All the shareholders live in Devon and work full time for the company.

The business offers a delivered service for catering dry goods, chilled and frozen foods, and non-foods. A standard range of approximately 3500 lines is stocked at our depot at Heathfield, Newton Abbot on the A38 Expressway between Exeter and Plymouth in Devon.

The business operates from a single location to allow close supervision from the owners/directors, thereby ensuring the operation runs to the highest standards. The key to the growth that has been achieved so far is the exceptional service level, which is consistently better than 99% - unrivalled in the foodservice industry.

More than 2000 customers receive deliveries at least once a week. Deliveries are made as far north as Cheltenham, as far east as Swanage, and all points west to Lands End.

The company is a member of the Nisa and Fairway buying groups. We were awarded to Nisa Foodservice Wholesaler of the Year Award in both 2008 and 2009 in recognition of our service to our customers and the prudent, ethical and sustainable manner in which the company is run.
