Philip Dennis Foodservice is a family owned and run regional wholesaler with over 50 years experience. The business, which is still chaired by John Dennis (the son of Philip), has grown into a leading supplier of fresh meat, ambient, chilled & frozen goods.

We particularly pride ourselves on our bespoke butchery service and are the sole supplier of Exmoor beef which won the national "Burger of the Year" competition in 2008 with our Exmoor beef burgers and have also attained a Gold award in England’s Best Burger Challenge 2010 for our Supreme Exmoor Burger.

In 2009 we further increased our portfolio of products to include fresh fish which has now been introduced to our Devon account base. We have three Foodservice sites in the UK based in Ilfracombe (North Devon), Ducklington (Oxfordshire) and Brierley Hill (West Midlands) and our purpose built butchery depot in Barnstaple.

Each depot is connected by our IT system which gives our telesales teams instant access to a client's accounts, sales histories, pricing and stock availability. We own a fleet of 53 modern, dual-temperature vehicles which carry chilled, frozen and ambient products and we hold CMI accreditation to the Higher level and are audited every 18 months to ensure continued compliance.

We place strong emphasis on excellence in customer service. Our aim is to not only supply all your business needs but also to act as your 'business partner', with our field sales representatives working with you to help plan your menus, achieve cost savings and ultimately grow your business.

In addition, our telesales teams are available from 08:30 to 17:00 Monday to Friday and between 16:00 and 19:00 on Sundays. We are a medium-sized business and are members of a national buying group called Caterforce, comprising six leading independent food wholesalers, which enables us to compete very effectively with other major players in our field.
Our strength is that we offer you the choice of an extensive product range comprising  leading brand names and a core range of the highest quality own label products.
